Patrick Zachar - New Personal Logo 2012 by patrickzachar Patrick Zachar - New Personal Logo 2012 by patrickzachar
!!NEW!!
After a year, I have decided that I will not use any nicknames and go with my real name.

Because of this, I had to think about a new logo which I will be using all the time, over and over again.
I wanted something really simple but stylish and "cool".

After thinking for a long, long time, I came up with the most simple, but yet effective idea. Eyes.

After I got the idea, I was looking at merging two of my initials into one shape. After many, many I finally came up with this idea.

I am pretty pleased with it, but I will really appreciate your feedback.

Time taken: 7 hours (including drawing out the ideas)
Software used: Adobe Illustrator CS6

Please comment or :+fav:. Any ideas for improvements will be appreciated! Thank you :happybounce:

Looks more like an artist logo than a graphic designer one, looks nice, but I (personal opinion) believe it should scream professional more than artistic.

Certainly it shows creativity, but hardly can tell it come from a graphic designer.

Thanks for the comment, I wanted to make something that isn't too "mainstream". But I do understand what you mean, that was my only concern about the logo when I made it.

Indeed, don't take me wrong, as english is not my first language is hard something to express exactly what I want.

You logo is really functional making it easily to remember and spot, and thats important so the client will pay more attention when seeing it anywhere.

But think as someone looking for a professional graphic designer, and someone come with a catalog with only the logos of various designers, between all of them (50 to 200) are you.

The message of a logo shouldn't take too long to analyze and get the message, so the first and quick message I get while seeing yours is "an artist", "someone creative", but "not sure if experienced."

That doesn't means you should take too serious that point, but COULD be important, in the long way, is your work what most matters, I have seen horrible logos from amazing designers, maybe they used that logo at early days of practicing and they couldn't change it since a lot of people know them for that initial logo.

I have seen your works and I'm sure customers will be pleased and amazed with your work, and the logo itself also reflects your unique and experimental side (personal opinion).

I won't suggest to quit it if you really like it, but with time you want to be tuning this same logo to your needs.
